As a Certified Nurse Midwife, you’ll provide prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn care. As a member of the Army Nurse Corps, you’ll monitor pregnancy progress by listening to fetal heartbeat, taking measurements, and estimating fetal size and weight to assure a healthy birth. You will also provide low-risk full-scope gynecological and obstetric health care to females of all ages in both inpatient and outpatient settings, with an additional capability to serve in surgical first-assist roles.

Special Forces Medical Sergeant 18D

As a Special Forces Medical Sergeant, you'll become Green Berets, one of the most highly skilled Soldiers in the world. Though you’ll primarily train with an emphasis on first-response and trauma medicine much like a paramedic in the civilian world, you’ll also have a working knowledge of dentistry, veterinary care, public sanitation, water quality, and optometry.

Pediatric Physician 60P

As a Pediatrician, you’ll be equipped to examine, diagnose, and treat childhood diseases during humanitarian missions, contingency operations, and peacetime. Your scope of practice will include care of Soldiers in the field environment, most of whom are in the adolescent and young adult age group. You’ll also learn how to provide the highest level of care in a unique environment while serving as an Officer in the distinguished U.S. Army Medical Corps.
